The first ever mixed tournament series started on the weekend of 16+17 September in Sunny Amsterdam. The weekend was filled with competitive matches, as well as great spirit, and excellent fun on our fantastic pitches.
We had 11 Dutch teams signed up. This number of teams is a huge success for the very first year! We hope Mixed ultimate will grow from here as clubs and teams realise the fun of playing and socialising at Mixed Weekend events. That would be a positive step in the development of female players, and in fact, all players in our sport.

Hooray! Following the world trend of increased numbers in mixed ultimate, the dutch clubs and the NFB decided that the time is now for Holland to jump in to the wondrous splendor of boy-girl on boy-girl action. Mixed ultimate is a great place to strengthen playing numbers in the intermediate and beginner levels, because it is both social and competitive.
This form of ultimate promotes development for everyone, because there is nowhere to hide on the field, both male and female must work together and do their part to form a functioning and enjoyable team.
Teams will be camping at the luscious Riekerhaven fields, so bring your tent and camping gear, as well as your bug spray! Please note: for all you pyromaniacs, fire is not OK in the camping area. If you would like to arrive on Friday evening, feel free! The camping area and shower facilities will be open all evening starting friday at 5PM, and going through Sunday at 5PM.
All meals will be provided. A tasty breakfast and lunch will be served on both days, as well as a big BBQ on Saturday night. Don't forget to bring your plate and cutlery!
This is an affordable tournament. We have made every effort to keep the costs low, while still providing all facilities, meals and party that is expected for a successful tournament.
The Players Fee is 25 euro each. There is no extra Team Fee.
Team contacts are responsible for collecting this Fee from their players and paying it in the tournament tent on Friday night or Saturday morning.
There will be some flexibilty in the normal 4-3 Gender mix. Please let us know if your team will not be able to play 4-3 for some or all of your games. Please read the format section...
If you are looking to play in this tournament series, but do not have a team to play on, perhaps we can place you in a team that is looking for players. Email us to let us know if you want to join the fun in Amsterdam!
The tournament takes place at the Riekerhaven fields in Amsterdam, where Crunch trains and holds tournaments including the Windmill Windup, and the Dutch Open competition days. The fields are in great shape after our recent rains, and will be properly lined for ultimate enjoyment! Click here to find the directions to the Riekerhaven fields.
