Count 11 teams listed as at 11th September 2006.
The Beast Within Marco Rietveld Amsterdam
We are one of the combo teams made from Amsterdam teams NUTS + Oetsers + Crunch.

On our players sign-up form we asked players two simple questions "Do you have a Beast within?" and "Is that Beast suppressed and particularly angry about it?". If either answer was "no" we immediately ripped up their form and ate it.

WAF and friends Hetty Wageningen
We are building a combo team mainly of WAF players plus a few friends from other clubs.

Crunch 2 Koen Alexander Amsterdam
From the sign-up sheet for Crunch2 earlier this season: "Goal of the team: To be the best Mixed team, with the spirit and the atmosphere that belongs with that. The idea is to play the Open competition in the 2006 outdoor season, and in turn, play the Mixed completion as well - by that point we will be a well oiled machine." Quite a target they have set for themselves, but luckily they "prefer to keep the spirit than to win".

Dismount Laurenz Eveleens Amsterdam
We are a combo team from NUTS + Oetsers + Crunch.

Dismount knows that dismounting can be fun, but sometimes sad for it always signals the end of the routine. In that way we have such mixed feelings. We can only hope to understand ourselves better by playing ultimate together for 2 days and using time between matches and time on the sideline to discuss the ins and outs of Dismounting.

UFO Jeroen Utrecht
... they have nothing to say yet ...

BfrisbeeHigh Joke Martens Nijmegen + Tilburg
Hold on to your hats, people! and look out for these Bfrisbee2 Flying High nuts! but don't worry because these nuts won't hurt you -- they are all soft and squweegy. Very nice with a bottle of chianti.

Opposable Thumbs (Panic) Hilco Beukema Leiden + Amsterdam Opposable Thumbs
Although some of our players have questionable amounts of facial hair, none of us are primates. That is a good thing... we will be able to catch fribees thrown by our human team-mates.

From Wikipedia:
"In human anatomy, the thumb is the first digit on a hand. The human thumb is fully opposable to the tips of the fingers in that it may position itself, and be folded inward, toward the rest of the hand and fingers, if so required. It rotates at the carpometacarpal joint and so can complete the sometimes quite delicate task of grasping objects by pressing them against the rest of the hand or finger(s)."

Very few other animals have opposable thumbs. The Panda, the 4-toed Sloth (not the 3-toed Sloth!), the Bornean Orangutan. Plus the freakish Koala has an opposable toe on each foot, plus two opposable fingers on each hand.

Crunch 3 Lennart Post Amsterdam
Coming from an opposite world, Crunch 3 had more of  a girl-luxury problem. To their surprise, monopolizing the girl-market did not ensure victories on the fields. However, with six cute girls, the boys soon flocked in great numbers.

After some tough selections (like massages, carrying shopping bags, the correct answer to:'Do I look fat in this Crunch shirt') we present you: Crunch 3.

Red Lights Ted Beute Amsterdam
After the suprisingly easy win at Europeans (Masters) the old Red Lights-bunch decided to go to Worlds one more time. They added their own girls and youngster Tim, picked up some UFO-dolls and -guy and transfered 2 expaths, as well as a Yankee-couple and a Swiss Primavera Olandese-star to the RL-roster, and subscribed to ... the Mixed division! Who would have thought to see players as Michiel K. and Joost R. in the Mixed category? Well, here they are.

Okay, Down Under we'll miss out Hans, Arjen, Sjaak, Joort, Remco, Rick and above all Hakke. And we'll have to do without Rostock-crew Sebastiaan, Guido and Eugène. But hey, Alex the fysio is coming along again!

Having won Talampaya (Europe's biggest Mixed tourney) and recent Euromix (with the best German Perth-opponent) this Dutch Mixed championship is a must for us on our route to Bristol in october (last Mixed test-tourney with all the English teams) and of course WUCC in november.

Once there we want to hit the quarter finals (in the upper break!) and see if we can be the best European team around. But most of all we want to feel content after having played our best Ultimate as much as we can, so afterwards everyone can go on a well-deserved (West-)Australian holiday.

Michiel van L, Jankees R. and Marjolein R, we'll make you eat your heart out!
